Asia's Tallest Indoor Sky Farm: Integrating Green Smart Technology into Everyday Life

The International Commerce Centre where sky100 is located is Hong Kong's first green building certified by the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM). Compared to traditional agriculture. To promote sustainable development, sky100, together with a local green smart-living tech company, Farmacy HK, has created Asia's tallest indoor Sky Hydroponic Farm on the observation deck.

Smart Mobile Farm from Farmacy HK helps save over 90% of water consumption and reduces CO2 carbon emissions by 70% due to reduced transportation. The ‘sky farm’ event is expected to reduce approximately 1.25 tonnes of CO2 carbon emissions and save 1,160 litres of water. In addition to enjoying the 360-degree cityscape at sky100, visitors can enjoy a healthy, low-carbon life and contribute to the environment in Hong Kong.

During the event, sky100 will arrange for visitors to hand-pick crops harvested from the Smart Mobile Farm every Saturday, sharing the green hydroponic crops cultivated with technology with limited supplies. A ‘sky market’ photo zone will also be set up, allowing visitors to transform into farmers at an altitude of 393 metres and take eye-catching photos!

Taste Green Hydroponic Crops and Experience Low-carbon Living

During weekends, sky100 will hold green hydroponic farming activities, using freshly picked vegetables and herbs from the Smart Mobile Farm to make coffee, cookies, and fragrance, preserving the colour, aroma, taste, and nutrition of the ingredients, allowing urbanites to taste fresh crops. In June, sky100 will continue to launch more green activities, allowing more visitors to experience low-carbon living. Please stay tuned for details on the official website.

From 29 April to 30 June, Café 100 offers the limited-edition Urban Forest special drink. Made with basil from the Smart Mobile Farm, it combines refreshing mint leaves, fresh lemon water, and lime for a delightful taste, reducing carbon emissions while preserving the nutritional value of vegetables and providing guests with the pleasure of experiencing farm-to-table delights. The Urban Forest is priced at HK$68 per serving.
