Starred by Qi Baishi and a dozen masters’ works, a top-notch exhibition is launched by Bauhinia Culture Group Co., Ltd. in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return to the Motherland

Bauhinia blooms along both banks of Hong Kong, and brilliantly adds luster to Hong Kong, a legendary city better than ever. Since Hong Kong returned to the motherland 25 years ago, Hong Kong society has burst out with new vitality. The 25th Anniversary marks a new starting point. The Pearl of the Orient looks even more dazzling on the banks of Hong Kong, a paradise of bauhinia in bloom.

Over the past 25 years, compatriots of the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong SAR have deeply understood the true meaning of “blood ties”. From flood-fighting and emergency rescues in 1998 to relief work of Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008, Hong Kong compatriots have always spared no effort to provide strong material and spiritual supports when the Motherland is hit by disasters. As proved by the successful completion and operation of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge to the remarkable achievements in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the stable development of Hong Kong is indispensable from the powerful Motherland. Nowadays, in the context of the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a new pattern of comprehensive opening-up in the new era is taking shape. New practice of the development of “One Country, Two Systems” is also beginning to bear fruit.

Over the past 25 years, Hong Kong compatriots have continuously enhanced their sense of pride in Chinese civilization and their sense of value identification with Chinese civilization. To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return to the Motherland, and help more Hong Kong compatriots savor the charms of excellent traditional Chinese culture and appreciate the original works by masters, from June 25 to July 13, 2022, “Better Than Ever—Art Exhibition by Renowned Artists in Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return to the Motherland” will be held at sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck. This exhibition is hosted by Bauhinia Culture Group Co., Ltd., organized by HONG KONG CULTURE ASSOCIATION and Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, co-organized by China Arts and Entertainment Group Ltd. and BAUHINIA MAGAZINE, and sponsored by China International Exhibition Agency and Sun Hung Kai Properties Charitable Fund.


With the masterpieces by more than 20 masters (including Qi Baishi, Gao Jianfu, Chen Shuren, Liu Haisu, Pan Tianshou, Lin Fengmian, Fu Baoshi, Zhao Shao’ang, Li Keran, Li Xiongcai, Qi Gong, Guan Shanyue, Yang Shanshen, Jao Tsung-I, and Wu Guanzhong) at the core, this exhibition will epitomize the beauty of art and bring together masterpieces in Hong Kong, thereby blessing Hong Kong with a brighter future! Hong Kong compatriots will take a closer look at these top-notch works by more than 20 masters and dozens of contemporary art creations within the half month before and after July 1, 2022.

All exhibits are carefully selected by the organizers, including many classics of the 20th century, which shine in the history of Chinese art, such as Autumn (Lin Fengmian), A Painting to be Completed for Land of Splendours (Fu Baoshi), An Epitome of Picturesque Xiaolongqiu Waterfall (Pan Tianshou), Tame Ox is also Stubborn (Li Keran), and Quiet and Secluded Qingcheng Mountain (Wu Guanzhong). These treasured collectibles of China Arts and Entertainment Group Ltd. (a subsidiary of Bauhinia Culture Group Co., Ltd.) not only represent the remarkable achievements in the history of art since the Founding of the PRC, but also mirror the original aspiration and determination of Bauhinia Culture Group Co., Ltd. which sets foothold in Hong Kong, works hard in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and improves the social and cultural well-being of Hong Kong.

This exhibition is greatly supported by Guangzhou Art Academy, Shenzhen Public Culture and Art Center (Shenzhen Art Academy), TSIKU CHAI, Li Keran Academy of Painting and many artists from the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong SAR. Four units of this exhibition, respectively entitled “Tribute to Classics”, “Uninterrupted Inheritance of Cultural Context”, “Impression of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, and “Bauhinia in Bloom”, greet the visitors. This exhibition not only displays the representative works of Chinese painting masters since the 20th century, but also sheds light on continuation and development of new-century Chinese artistic and cultural context in the contemporary era. This exhibition not only demonstrates the thematic creations by Guangdong and Hong Kong artists against the backdrop of the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, but also introduces the masterpieces by the young Chinese artists with bauhinia as the object. From the perspectives of “Classics over the Past Century”, “Masterpieces of the Times”, “Prosperity of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” and “Outstanding Creations by Young Artists”, this event epitomizes great prosperity and leapfrog development of contemporary Chinese literature and art, especially the integration of Guangdong and Hong Kong cultures in the context of the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

It is reported that preview will run from June 25 to July 2, 2022. Opening ceremony is planned to be held on July 3, 2022. Every visitor can contact Bauhinia Culture Group Co., Ltd. to make reservation for a free tour.

1. Do sky100 visitors includes the entry of the exhibition?

Visitors whom hold sky100’s tickets can enter the exhibition area, but they must register on-site with the organiser. Subject to avaliability and the final decision made by organizer.

2. Are there any extra charges required for the exhibition?

No, visitors can entry the exhibition if they complete their ticket reservation online on organizer’s webpage.

3. Can visitors visit the exhibition only?

Yes. Visitor can visit the exhibition for free after successful reservation. Visitors can visit sky100 by paying the additional $50 per person for the top-up ticket.

4. If I've got the exhibition ticket, can I visit sky100 (including 5G LAB)?

Visitors will have to pay additional $50 per person. Please pay attention to the closing days of sky100. Due to special activities, closing date will update from time to time. Please check the opening hours before departure.

5. Can Visitors visit the exhibition on non-reserved dates?

No. Visitors are required to visit the exhibition on their reserved date.

6. How can visitors redeem tickets after the online reservation?

Please present your confirmation email to the organizer's counter next to sky100 front door (1/F).

7. When can visitors reserve tickets online?

8. When will the visiting period starts and ends?

The exhibition will hold from 4th July 2022 till 13th July 2022, 10:00 am to 8:30 pm (Last Entry: 8:00 pm). Only reserved customers will be admitted during this period.

9. I have one ticket of this art exhibition, how about accompany visitor?

The accompany visitor must be required to make online registration on the organizer platform before your visit. No entrance is allowed without the art exhibition ticket.

10. Can visitor visit exhibition on non-ticket timeslot?

No. Visitors are required to visit the exhibition on specific dates and timeslot designated on the ticket.

11. Is there a limit time of stay?

The ticket does not have a limit time of stay.

12. Are all of visitor should entry together in same timeslot? Shall we entry to exhibition separately?

Visitor is required to entry exhibition in person and hold an admission ticket. Recommend visitor await your friends to visit together.

14. Does Children need an admission ticket?

Children under the age of 3 can enter for free and who must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above when entering exhibition. Children between the ages of 3 and 11 is required with an exhibition ticket.

15. Can use camera stand and flashlight in the exhibition?

No. Do not allow to use camera stand and flashlight in the exhibition area.

16. Any tickets will be distributed on site or walk-in?

No. All tickets must pre-register on the organizer website.
